DescriptionPublished as part of Sebastian Münster's Geographia, this map shows Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, and France. The top of the map is east, and the bottom of the map is west. The map is framed by a line and has a white border. Within the border, at the top of the map, it says, "ANGLIA II NOVA TABVLA." The towns and villages of Scotland are marked by small red buildings and have names near the buildings. At the bottom of the map, there is a small area of land, colored light green. On this is printed: "IBERNIA/Irland" referring to the present-day Republic of Ireland. On the right edge of the map, there is a strip of land, colored light red. Near the lower left corner of the map, there is a flag on a pole stuck in the water. The flag has a yellow background, and in its center is a red lion. The lion is framed in a red border with fleur-de-lis around it attempting to reiterate England's claim to land in present-day France. This is the Royal Banner of Scotland. Near the top of the map, there is a flag on a pole stuck in the land near the village of Agelon. The flag has four quadrants. Two are blue and two are red. Within the red quadrants, there are three lions. Within the blue quadrants, there are three fleur-de-lis. In the upper left corner of the map, there is a framed key listing the names of towns/cities and their translations. On View
