DescriptionThis is a monochrome map of what is today known as the island of Euboea, which is separated from the Greek mainland by the Euripus Strait. The map is framed by an elaborately drawn, wide border and shows the island and strait near the upper right corner. On the left half of the map, there is an illustration of a city with the word "Città" above it. To the left of the city is a castle situated in the strait, connected to the city on one side and the mainland on the other by a bridge. Above the castle, it says, "Castello." In the foreground, in the lower left corner, there is a lion with wings wearing a crown and brandishing a sword. To the right of the city there is a landmass with the word "Isola" above it. To the left of the bridge is another landmass. Beginning in the upper left corner, there is a curtain - held up in the middle by a cherub - with the map title printed on it.
