DescriptionThis is an instruction card gives information about how to use Kerr caps and lids in canning. The card is a faded tan color with text and images in black ink. The title of the card is at the top and reads "Important... Read Carefully Before Using" in tan letters on a solid black line. The line underneath reads "How to use Kerr Caps and Lids" in black ink. The word "Kerr" is printed in a more cursive font than the other words. The main body of the card consists of instructions on how to use lids and caps for cunningly safely and successfully. At the bottom is a diagram of a canning jar with information about what types of materials can be canned such as fruit and meat. There is also a diagram for how to know if the lid is on securely. Below this, at the very bottom, is a note from the U.S. Department of Agriculture about recommendations on what to can, and a line in the bottom left corner that reads "Form MC-50".
