BiographyGrace Julia Miller Redd, 85, native and lifelong resident of Albuquerque was born June 28, 1915, and died here on March 24, 2001. She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Judith; her daughter, Bonnie and her husband, Leroy Kelley; grandsons, Mark Steven Redd and his wife, Charlene, Scott James Redd and his wife, Julie and Steven Lee Kelley; granddaughter, Kristel Julia Kelley; great-grandchildren, Cedric James Redd and Riley Shay Redd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald James Redd; and son, William Lee Redd. Grace was born and raised in Old Town where she lived with her parents, Joe and Minnie Miller and brothers, Jack and Joe. Her father Joe was foreman for the streetcar company. She attended Old Town School and graduated from Albuquerque High in 1933. She married her husband of 55 years, Jerry Redd in 1935. They had three children, Bob, Bonnie and Bill. Grace�s ability to love and care for people was her greatest attribute. She touched and influenced the lives of everyone she met (never met a stranger). A devoted mother she dedicated her life to family and friends. Grace was a devout Christian and a Sunday school teacher for many years, and had a special gift with working with children. She loved them all, and they loved her. Grace truly loved her Old Town and her fair New Mexico. She enriched the lives of so many people, and she will be greatly missed. Services will be held Tuesday, 3:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, with Rev. Myron White officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Robert J. Redd, Leroy C. Kelley, Mark S. Redd, Scott J. Redd, Steven L. Kelley, Karl B. Koepp, Bryan H. Koepp and Russell Malcolm. Contributions may be made to the Christian Education Department c/o First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, 87102. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
