DescriptionA Waco aircraft, registration number NC7972, after a crash in the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the center frame, there is a right-side facing, single-engine aircraft in small trees. It has been crashed and is parked in bushes and trees of a mountain landscape. The wings have been removed. The registration number NC7972 is painted on the tail.
Handwriting on the front of the photograph reads, "OX-5 Waco Sandia Mtns."
