DescriptionThis is a possible Waco aircraft, NC8143, from the City of Albuquerque. It was flown in the Ford Derby Air Race at the Albuquerque Airport in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the center frame, the left-side facing, high-wing, single-engine aircraft is parked. It is in front of a pueblo-style, single story building in the background. Painted on the fuselage in large letters is, "City of Albuquerque." There is also a logo of a figure holding a large heart and a slogan that reads, "The Heart of Health Country." Writing on the cowling near the propeller reads, ""Buzz" Hershfield; Tommy Ogle." There are mountains in the background on the right.Handwriting on the back of the photograph reads, "City of Alb. Entered in the Ford Derby and flown by Tommy Ogle, who was one of Speakman's instructors at the field."
