DescriptionFour men are posing near a crashed bi-plane in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the center frame, they are leaning on the top wing of a bi-plane that is stuck nose-down in the ground on the side of a mountain. The registration number NC7972 is painted on the tail. There are bushes and mountain landscape surrounding them.Handwriting on the back of the photograph reads, "1934 - Wreck of OX-5 Swallow that failed to get over the mountains. No one was injured. Crew shown in photo are Tommy Ogle, Buzz Hershfield, Frank Speakman and Harry Treadway, all of the Alb. Airport, Inc.".
