DescriptionA Waco aircraft, NC7972, after a crash in the Sandia Mountains. In the right frame, a small aircraft is upside down in trees, on the side of a hill. The wheels are in the air and the underside of the wings is visible. The hillside is covered in a mountain landscape of brush and trees. Three men stand near the plane. The registration number NC7972 is painted on the left wing. Handwriting on the front of the photograph reads, "OX-5 Waco Sandia Mountains 1934."
