DescriptionThis image depicts an unidentified Native American woman working with a large pile of corn after the fall harvest in a residential area on the west side of the Isleta Pueblo located two miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico on Highway 85. The woman and the pile of corn can be seen through the open gate that is set into an adobe wall. The woman is wearing a light-colored dress and a dark colored hair covering. A large tree can be seen rising above the wall on the left side of the frame. An adobe building can be seen immediately behind the corn pile. On this building are five chile ristras hanging from the exterior wall. In the far background, other trees, a windmill, and the St. Augustine Church can be seen. The church has two large steeples on its roof.
