DescriptionThis image depicts a single Elk walking around its enclosure at the Zoo in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The elk is in mid-step walking towards the camera. It has very large antlers. Its head, chest area, and legs are covered in dark colored hair while the rest of its body is covered in light colored hair. The visible portion of the elk's enclosure consists of a large flat dirt area partially covered in animal droppings and fallen leaves. This area is surrounded by a metal mesh fence that is held up by large wooden fence posts. The top of the posts is painted a light color while the bottom is a darker color. Just behind the fence is a large leafless tree. In the background, behind this tree, is another similar tree.
