DescriptionThe New Mexico Territorial Fair tug-of-war team and mascot pose with their trophy outdoors in New Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico. They are arranged in a horizontal line in matching outfits, crossing their arms and looking at the camera. they stand in front of W.C. Leonard & Company and A.J. Maloy Grocery storefronts at 214 West Railroad Avenue. A child sits in a coiled rope on the ground in the center of the group and holds the trophy. There is a bag next to him. A group of men is gathered behind them. The athletes' uniforms consist of white long-sleeved shirts and pants with a large "B" painted on the chest. Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss. The top right corner of this glass plate is broken off.
