DescriptionThe interior of F.G. Pratt Grocery located at 214 South Second Street in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The shop has high ceilings with large white rafters. The rafters are filled with hanging pots and pans. The three visible walls are filled to the ceilings with fully stocked shelves and more hanging baskets and pots. Glass display cases line the base of the shelves with a narrow space between, with stacked barrels and boxes on the floor. There is a tiny furnace in the far back of the shop. Three men stand in the shop wearing slack suits, ties, vests, and mustaches. Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
