DescriptionA group of eight adults are gathers outdoors in a thicket of trees, fallen branches, and grasses in Albuquerque, New Mexico. All stand but two in the front row, who sit on a fallen log. Four of the eight are dressed in elaborate princess line outfits composed of floor length gowns with long, gigot puffed sleeves, and bodices decorated with layers of lace, buttons, and complex pleating. The corsets beneath form their torsos into tightly shaped hour-glass silhouettes. They all wear small chockers around their necks, wear high-crowned hats decorated with bows and ribbons, and some wear gloves.

The other four wear thick three-piece single-breasted slack or lounge suits, starched separable collars, ties, and a few have pocket watches attached to their vests, one of which is attached to a ribbon. They all wear a hats, one in a bowler, two in fedoras, and one in a straw boater. They all sport groomed and shaped mustaches. Two individuals in the front row hold closed umbrellas. They look at the camera, some smiling, others merely look towards the camera.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
