DescriptionYoung Wilfred Cobb, at about five or six years old, stands in the dirt yard of a brick adobe home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Behind him is a dark-colored horse, and lumber, tools, and part surround him. Wilfred wears a turtle neck sweater and long trousers. His hair is cut short and he looks at the camera without a smile. Wilfred Cobb was the youngest of Eddie Ross Cobb and William Cobb’s four children. The Cobb family owned a photography shop, Cobb Studio, in New Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Wilfred was a grandson of Edmund G. Ross, the New Mexico territorial governor from 1885 to 1889.
