DescriptionA studio portrait of the Cobb family's children at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From left to right stands Susan Cobb Beyer in the back with the eldest Edmund F. Cobb beside her. In the front from left to right is Wilfred Cobb, the youngest, with Daphne Cobb beside him. Edmund wears a three-piece suit with a separable collar and tie. His hair is cropped short and he looks directly at the camera. Susan, Daphne, and Wilfred wear long sleeved dressed, the younger two with oversized collars that skirt their shoulders and necklines. Wilfred holds a toy dog, clasped tightly against his stomach.
These are the four children of Eddie and William Cobb, owners of a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century on Gold Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Cobb children are also the grandchildren of Governor Edmund G. Ross.
