DescriptionA studio portrait of the Cobb children as young adults and Wilfred as an adolescent. They are arranged to pose at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Susan (left) and Daphne (right) stand in the back and wear shirtwaist style outfits. Susan wears pearls around the neck and has a light-colored dress with ruffles around the neckline. Daphne wears a dark plaid dress with a wide and high collar and satin bowtie. Both Susan and Daphne wear their hair arranged loosely and set back in buns with braids. Edmund is seated to the left. His short hair is parted to the side and wears a tweed suit jacket, starched separable collar, and tie. Wilfred stands to the right and wears a rounded collared shirt, tie, and tweed jacket as well. His hair is also short and parted to the side. Only Susan looks directly at the camera.
These are the four children of Eddie Ross Cobb and her husband, William Cobb. They owned a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century on Gold Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss.
