DescriptionNipsey Russell, Harry Belafonte, and Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. hold a press conference at the Montgomery, Alabama airport during the Selma to Montgomery march in this black and white photograph. The three men take up most of the photograph as they stand in the airport. Nipsey Russell stands on the left edge of the photograph, he is wearing a white shirt and black jacket. In his right hand he is holding out a small white box with a white wire attached to it running out of frame. Russell is looking towards the right of the photograph towards a group of reporters. To the right of him is Harry Belafonte. Belafonte stans in dark clothing and he is looking slightly out of frame. He has his left arm around the shoulders of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King is looking just outside of frame and is wearing a button up shirt with a pen tucked in the shirt pocket. The right edge of the photograph shows a row of reporters, men and women, who are holding out microphones and notebooks. In the background a bright window and a directory sign can be seen.
