DescriptionThis railroad map focuses on the state of New Mexico and was recorded by the State Corporate Commission in 1917. All of the different steam railroads are color-coded and marked on the map which also contains all of the counties in New Mexico highlighted and outlined with yellow lines. The borders of Colorado to the north, Texas to the east, Arizona to the west, and Mexico to the south are marked. There is a legend at the bottom next to the map's title identifying the different colors used across the map for different steam railroads and varying-sized circles correlating to the size of the population. The State Corporate Committee stamp also features in the lower right next to the map manufacturers and producers.
