DescriptionThis object is a small laryngeal syringe primarily used for a variety of throat-related surgeries. The object has a plastic barrel with red text indicating a maximum volumetric capacity of 5 ccs (5 mL). The base of the object has two ring handles as flanges, with an additional ring handle above at the top of the plunger. The tip of the object is comprised of a specialty "Luer-Lok" style base where retractable needles can be replaced. Text along the side of the barrel reads: "YALE B-D LOK - CONTROL". Mild to moderate levels of corrosion are visible towards the bottom of the barrel and around the central components of the flange.
