DescriptionThis object is a Dental Aspirating Syringe used to administer local anesthesia during dental procedures. The object has a wide, horizontal plunger at the top, with two, slightly curved, metal flanges on opposite sides located just below. The cylindrical barrel of the syringe is open on one side, with a large oval-shaped hole on the reverse side. "NOVOL / ANESTUBE / A20" is stamped below the hole on the lower barrel. The tip of the object has a very small, cylindrical socket to insert various needle tips. Moderate levels of corrosion are visible around the interior of the barrel.
