DescriptionThis is a box of needles intended for use in veterinary practices. There are twelves needles housed in a box for storage. The box is rectangular and gives information about the needles' length, type, maker, and material. They are listed as 3/4" "B-D / CHAMPION / VETERINARY NEEDLES / RUSTLESS STEEL / LOK-TYPE - LUER SLIP." The maker is listed as "BECTON, DICKINSON & CO. / RUTHERFORD N.J." The bottom of the box has information about the patent and the location of the maker. The box is white with some brown stains throughout, and the text is mostly blue with a few words printed in red. A blue border outlines the edge of the box. The needles are housed in a pull out compartment in the box which is also made of white cardboard. The needles sit horizontally in two columns on a flat piece of metal, with the needle points facing inward. Plastic has been wrapped over the package but the bottom half has been torn off. There is a space in the metal piece for each needle to be set and secured. The needles vary in size however, all have a smooth cylinder at the top followed by a ridged cylinder below this as a handle. There is more metal underneath that tapers from to cylinder to a point. Each needle is hollow and some have rod inserted through the point to help with stability and prevent blockages. The two largest needles have a small hoop attached to the top of the handle end.On View
