DescriptionThis object is a pair of thumb-operated dissecting forceps used for a variety of medical procedures to move delicate tissue. The object is comprised of two, flat, metal shanks that join together at the flat hinge located at the base of the object. The middle section of the exterior of the shanks are coated in shallow, cross-stitched engravings to enhance grip. The tips of the object are pointed, and contain small serrations within the jaws. Moderate levels of corrosion are seen on the cross-stitched portion of one of the shanks. On View
