DescriptionThis object is a pair of thumb-operated forceps often used during nasal operations. The object has a flat hinge located at its base where the two shanks intersect. Above the hinge are numerous horizontal external serrations on both shanks to provide better traction when using the object. A circular thumb screw is present above the serrations on one side which allows for minute adjustments of the object's set angle. The jaws of the object are comprised of identical, square shaped rings with a significantly thicker, serrated edge on the tips. "V.MUELLER&Co. / GERMANY" is stamped on the inside of one of the shanks. Some mild amounts of corrosion are visible near the tips of the object.On View
