DescriptionThe New Mexico Territorial Fairgrounds on West Railroad Avenue at Rio Grande Boulevard in Albuquerque. People are gathered near the grandstand at the 1892 territorial fair. There is a large group of male presenting individuals in the foreground. At the center of the group are two individuals swinging large mallets or hammers. There are horses and wagons outside the pedestrian groups.

Railroad Avenue's name was changed around 1908 to what is now Central Avenue. Central Avenue also overlaps with the historic Route 66.
