BiographyFounded by brothers Noel Wien (1899-1977) and Ralph Wien (1898-1930), Wien Air, a U.S. airline was a pioneer in commercial aircraft travel. After the company was sold, it eventually became known as Alaskan Airways Inc. Playing a crucial role in the industry of air travel, as it was one of the first airlines to implement routes between Alaska and Siberia, positively affecting international trade, and was the first company that provided year-round service despite the harsh Alaskan climate.
