New Mexico Association of Volunteer Firemen

Established during the twentieth century, the New Mexico Association of Volunteer Firemen provided guided support and opportunities for volunteer firemen in New Mexico. It also played a crucial role in advocating for better working conditions and securing retirement benefits for volunteer firefighters by helping implement the Volunteer Firefighters Retirement Act of 1983.
