Zonta Club of Albuquerque

Albuquerque, New Mexico, 1969 - 2008
BiographyBetween the year it was charted and the year it closed, the Zonta Club of Albuquerque was a local faction of the larger Zonta International women's organization. On 13 January 1969 the club opened in Albuquerque. It closed in 2008. Zonta clubs expanded to Mexico and though many factions shut down in the early 2000s, there are still student, online, and community groups that all join as part of Zonta International. These groups have focused on key topics such as expanding education, ending gender-based violence, and eliminating child marriage.
