BiographyGloria Garcia (b.1942) is a daughter of Petra Gutierrez and a sister of potters Minnie Vigil, Lois Gutierrez, and Thelma Talachy, and the mother of Jason Garcia. She began making pottery around 1974 and is known for her hand coiled and sgrafitto redware and blackware seed jars. Gloria has won numerous awards for her pottery over the years at Santa Fe Indian Market and has work in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.
