DescriptionThis matchbox was made to promote the Maria Teresa restaurant & bar, which was housed in the historic Salvador Armijo House, built in the 1840s in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The matchbox is mostly white, with red detail throughout. The top face of the box has the restaurant's logo, which is a red, stylized plack with three lines of text inside. The lines of text read "Registered National Historic Place," "Maria Teresa," and "RESTAURANT & BAR/1840." Below the logo, there is another line of red text, which reads "Aged Beef. Chops & Specialties." The bottom face of the box is almost identical to the front face, except there is one more line of text, which sits beneath the previous line of text and the logo. The text reads "NEXT TO THE SHERATON OLD TOWN." The strike strip is found on the bottom side of the box.
