DescriptionThis image depicts a closeup shot of one of the murals inside the Hilton Hotel dining room at Second Street and Copper Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This mural depicts the 1680 Pueblo Rebellion against the Spanish. It depicts several Spanish individuals being marched off at spear point by numerous Native Americans. Many of the Native Americans are holding either spears or bows and arrows. A single Spanish can be seen in the foreground walking towards the right side of the frame. Two Spanish soldiers can be seen in armor and on horseback. In the far background, a large crowd can be seen surrounding a large adobe church building which is burning.
