DescriptionAn early photo of the Armijo House located at 302-308 West Railroad Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Armijo House is a three-story building with a large front porch. Men stand on the porch looking onto the dirt road. Beyond the hotel are a line of single-story storefronts in the old Southwest style. Horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians line the road.

Railroad Avenue is now called Central Avenue and runs east to west through downtown. Albuquerque. "Railroad Avenue" came from being located along the city's railway and depot. The name was changed between 1907 and 1908. Central Avenue also overlaps with sections of the historic Route 66 Highway.
