DescriptionA studio portrait of Susan Cobb Beyer and possibly her cousin Sim Miles as babies (son of Fannie Ross Miles and George Miles) at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both infants sit on the ground atop a "grass" prop with a faux stone wall behind them. The babies look at each other, with one feeding the other a piece of bread. Susan wears a stripped dress, and the other a white dress. Susan holds grasses in her hands.

Susan was the second eldest child of Eddie and William Cobb, owners of a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century on Gold Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
