DescriptionA baby, Simpson "Sim" Miles, is propped up in a blanketed seat in the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a portrait. Sim wears a light-colored dress with a cinched and ruffled neckline and wrist cuffs. Sim's hair is parted to the side. He holds a beaded chain in his lap and plays with it while resting in a fuzzy, satin trimmed blanket. Sim (Simpson) was the first born of Fannie Ross Miles, the youngest of territorial governor Edmund G. Ross's seven children.
