DescriptionThe retired Territorial Governor Edmund G. Ross sits outdoors at his son and daughter-in-law's home, Pitt and Clemmie Ross, at 920 South Barelas Road, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Edmund wears a top hat and suit and leans back into a wooden chair in the dirt yard. Behind him is an adobe home with lace curtains in the windows. There is a well-worn door in the adobe with a small wood plank platform in front of it. An old screen door is propped open against the home with a pile of rocks. On the opposite side is another pile of rocks, stumps and an antler. Beside Edmund sits a large dark colored dog and behind him is a cow.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss. This image has been shattered and the bottom right corner of the glass plate has been broken off.
