DescriptionEddie Ross Cobb and her first child, Edmund F. Cobb as an infant, sit on a blanket in a sandy cove surrounded by large lava rocks. Dixie, the family's dark-colored dog, sits on the ground leaning against their pile of supplies. A rifle leans on the rocks behind Eddie. A dark bag with E.R. printed on the leather is off to the side. Eddie wears a high-crown hat and a princess line outfit. Edmund wears a bonnet and a light-colored dress. Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss.
