DescriptionTerritorial Governor Edmund G. Ross, after retirement, with his family in New Mexico. They are gathered outside their family homestead south of Albuquerque and the AT&SF Topeka railway. Included in the group from right to left winding counter clockwise is Eddie Ross Cobb sitting on the steps with toddler Susan Cobb Beyer on her lap, Edmund G. Ross in a satin top hat and holding a cane, little Edmund F. Cobb in a floral dress beside him, Arthur Ross holding a squirming child (likely his son Rodney Ross), and Pitt Ross standing cross armed beside him on the far left with his wife Maria Clementine Ross standing against the home in a shirtwaist outfit with dark trim behind him. Young Edmund "Ed" Ross stands on the porch between Pitt and Clemie. Lillian Ross Leis sits in the center of the porch in a dark princess line outfit, May Ross (Arthur's wife) stands in the doorway beside her, and Lillian's son Tracy Flynt Leis stands directly behind grandfather Edmund G. Ross in a black hat. The home is adobe brick with a wooden lean-to on the side. The property is lined with fencing and the Sandia Mountains are seen on the horizon.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
