Reality is a puzzle with a piece missing right in the middle. The things we experience through our senses are not sufficient to account for the things we can experience in our consciousness. Some of us ignore the hole at the centre of the puzzle, others of us look for external ways of arriving at it, or at least of understanding its absence. For me, a future to understand is better than a future to wonder, I also wonder what significance there might be to the reversal of the words over the altar in the above photograph, since for me they represent the best description I know of the missing puzzle-piece!
