DescriptionThis map is split into two sheets of paper each with the same dimensions. This half features western North America, the northern part of Central America, and depicts California as an island off the coast of western North America. There are drawings of large fish, settlements, and mountainous areas in relief form. A group of people are depicted in boats in the Gulf of Mexico and Taos is located south of Santa Fe along the Rio del Norte. The border contains intermittently shaded bars and the left side contains a classical image of four cherub figures using scientific and musical instruments, and two angels holding up a draped banner that covers the title and manufacturer information of the map.On View
