DescriptionThis is a colored aerial map of Nürnberg, Germany, and the surrounding areas. In the east, the map extends as far as "STEIN-BRUCH" and in the west, as far as "ALT-BERG." The colors on the map are light green and light pink. There is a thin black line framing the map and a narrow border. The double-walled city of Nuremberg is labeled: "NURNBERG." In the upper right corner, inside a small white box, there is a map key. Along the bottom segment of the map, there is a black and white, eye level illustration of the city seen from afar. The roofs of buildings in the city are colored orange. In the left corner, there is a queen seated and holding a sceptor out toward the middle of the page. Around her feet are three cherubs. One is holding a drawing compass to a globe. Behind the queen, Mercury or Hermes stands holding a caduceus. Along the bottom of the illustration, at center, there is a small white box containing a numbered key. In the right corner, there is a seated, shirtless man resting his left arm on a vessel that is being poured out. This may be Neptune or Poseidon. Behind the seated man, in the background, is a town scene. This is a colored aerial map of Nuremberg, Germany, and the surrounding areas.
