DescriptionThis shell cameo ring is hand carved representing a late 18th century French dandy.

This lady's ring has a rectangular central setting of shell cut in cameo of a black background with a white figure of a dandy in broad-brimmed hat and cape. This shell-section is baselled in plain stock with applied shot decoration. The plain shank branches lengthwise of the shell section, where it is delicately etched with a geometric motif before it joins the bezel cup.
