DescriptionA brooch consisting of a carved shell cameo set in an oval millgrained bezel frame with a twisted wire border. The subject of the hand-carved cameo is the traditional motif of a woman in profile. The woman is wearing a drape from both shoulders with six roses in her hair and two roses on her left shoulder. The carving is detailed and well-executed. Total weight: 5.06 dwt.

The "p" stamp on the pin stem resembles the London Hallmark for the year 1910, and details of the gold work support that circa date.
