DescriptionIn this black and white photograph a group of students demonstrating in the rain outside of the courthouse in Montgomery, Alabama for black voter registration. The students are facing away from the viewer, and their faces are covered by raincoats and umbrellas. The students are covering their backs and heads with raincoats by spreading them over each other like tarps. There are also four umbrellas that are being held close to their heads to protect them from the rain. They appear to be wearing casual clothing as they demonstrate. Above the umbrellas, the background shows part of a building and a group holding a Flag of the United States of America in the distance. On View
