DescriptionThis object is a hand-held oral retractor used to move the cheeks or tongue during oral surgical operations. The handle is located on the bottom half of the object and has three vertical serrations on each side. The retractor is offset from the handle at a 90° angle and has a large hole near the end. The initials "J.B.R." have been carved next to the hole. "Dr. Roberts" has been carved onto the reverse side of the retractor. Text stamped onto the base of the handle reads: "U.S.A. / CHROMED." There is very little to no visible corrosion aside from some small scratches around the object.
