DescriptionThis object is a type of surgical retractor used to restrain tissue and provide a clear line of sight to the operation area. The forked tip of the object has four prongs of identical length and width that are curved by approximately 180°. The forked tip is affixed to the handle by a thin stem that slowly widens towards the bottom of the object. The handle has a circular shape towards the center of the object and a vertical, oblong loop located below. The two components of the handle are joined with at an indent. Text stamped onto this area of the handle reads: "V.MUELLER & Co. / STAINLESS," while "GERMANY" is stamped on the inverse side. There is very little to no visible corrosion on the object.On View
