DescriptionThis object is a medical-grade tuning fork used to perform hearing tests. The object is largely flat and rectangular, with two prongs extending from a centrally-located joint. "C4 / 2048" is stamped on one side of the joint, indicating the pitch and number of vibrations per second (Hz) of the object when struck. "V.MUELLER & Co" is stamped on the same side of the object near the base of the handle, but is noticeably faded. There is very little to no corrosion visible on the object.
