DescriptionThis object is a bone gouge with a cylindrical scooping blade at its tip. The bottom half of the object is comprised of the handle, which is surrounded by numerous horizontal serrations. The handle is slightly wider towards the center of the object and towards the base. "TRUAX GREENE & Co." is stamped just above the handle on one side of the object. Initials "J.B.R." have been carved into the opposite side of the object in a similar location. Moderate levels of corrosion are visible inside the cylindrical blade and within the serrations on the handle.On View
