DescriptionThis badge, constructed of metal and ribbon, features the base colors of both off-white and vibrant red for the ribbon portion of the badge. The badge's off-white, circular, metal portion reads, "Reception," and has a plush, white material surrounding the gold framing. Surrounding the white plush material is a pattern of off-white and bright red ribbon, creating a circular shape. On the bottom half of the badge is a brass-colored tassel and two pieces of ribbon (bright red on the left, off-white on the right). The bright red ribbon reads, "FERGUSSON HOOK / AND LADDER CO." in large, serifed, gold lettering. Founded in 1886, the Fergusson Hook and Ladder Company helped to serve the community by providing volunteering opportunities for local firemen. On the other side, the off-white ribbon reads the date, "NOV. 24, 1897." in the same gold lettering. On View
