DescriptionThis badge, constructed of metal and ribbon, features white base colors and a dark gold brass shade. Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey, made the ribbon. The badge's circular, metal, white portion reads "Reception" in large, black letters and is gold-framed. Underneath, this reads "Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J." in tiny, black lettering. Above the circular metal portion are three pieces of white ribbon and three folded pieces of brass-colored tinsel. On the bottom, there is a brass-colored tassel and two pieces of white ribbon that are frayed on the ends, one reading "Hose Company" (left), with the other reading; "NO. 2." (right), both in large serifed, gold lettering. On View
