DescriptionThis object is a steel surgical restraint that is comprised of a flat strip of metal with a 90° bend towards the center, dividing the object into a handle and operating arm. The handle is slightly tapered in width towards the center of the object, and has vertical serrations along the edges along with thinner, herringbone serrations on the exterior side. A manufacturer's mark reading "A . M. LESLIE & CO. / ST. LOUIS." is located just above the serrations near the center of the handle. The operating arm has a slightly wider and rounded tip than the rest of the object. Corrosion is visible on the underside of the operating arm and within the serrations on the handle. On View
