DescriptionThis object is a small, hand-held bone file used to delicately remove bone tissue during various ENT (ear, nose, and throat) operations. The object has a broad, oval-shaped metal handle at its base, with a thin, curved operating arm extending from the top. The operating arm itself is slightly offset from the handle at an obtuse angle, with the top portion having a slight curve upwards as well. The upper portion of the operating arm has numerous deep serrations to provide a file-like surface to carve down bone tissue. "SKLAR-CHROME U.S.A." is stamped on the exterior of the operating arm. Very minor amounts of rust are visible within the file serrations.
